Regina Cancer Patient Lodge
Construction of the Regina Cancer Patient Lodge began in the fall of 1984 on what was originally the plot of five private homes. Like the Saskatoon Cancer Patient Lodge, the Regina Lodge was gifted to the now Saskatchewan Cancer Agency by the Canadian Cancer Society. The funding for its construction was provided by donations. Similarly, it was also designed to house up to 28 patients, providing comfortable rooms and home cooked meals for out-of-town patients receiving care.
Currently the Regina Cancer Patient Lodge is undergoing an amazing renewal funded by the outstanding support of donors to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan as well as funding from the Ministry of Health. The renewal is focusing on giving the lodge a more residential feel to match the atmosphere of the facility.
