About Gynecological Oncology

Our gynecologic oncologists work closely with a collegial multi-disciplinary team as well as radiation and medical oncology, surgery, pathology and diagnostic imaging. Clinical service includes new patient visits/consults, medical/surgical care, follow-up visits/ongoing monitoring as well as participation in clinical trials patient enrollment. On-call and after-hours care is required.

About Hematology

The provincial hematology program focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with both benign and malignant hematological conditions, including full provision of autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant services at either our Saskatoon or Regina locations. Our hematologists are eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Oncology, College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and are also involved in teaching medical students and Residents at the undergraduate and graduate level. 

About Medical Oncology

Our medical oncologists provide care as members of teams, which include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, oncologists, surgeons, social workers, volunteers and palliative care staff. Participation in clinical trials in collaboration with cooperative groups and the health-care sector is a major focus of activity for our oncologists. They are members of cooperative clinical trial groups as Alliance, NCIC CTG, and NRG. Our oncologists are eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Oncology, College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and are also involved in teaching medical students and residents at the undergraduate and graduate level.

About Radiation Oncology

Our radiation oncologists are members of care teams that include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, clinical associates, dietitians, speech-language therapists, social workers, volunteers and other colleagues. Our services include active HDR gynecologic and prostate brachytherapy programs, established SRS brain and SBRT lung programs, with plans to expand in the future. Our oncologists are members of clinical trial groups including Alliance, NCIC, CTG and NRG. They are eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Oncology, College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and are also involved in teaching medical students and residents including at the undergraduate and graduate level.
